Nominal Cover to Reinforcement: 

Internal : 15mm or bar size + ΔCdev (5 or 10mm) 
External : 35mm + ΔCdev (5 or 10mm) 

Spacing and Size of bars:

Minimum spacing : 75mm (at laps) 
Maximum main bar spacing : 400mm 
Maximum secondary bar spacing : 450mm 
Minimum bar size : 10mm

Bar arrangements:

Corbels:

If main bar Ø ≤ 16mm, 



If main bar Ø > 16mm,

Welding of reinforcement to be confirmed with client prior to detailing

If a shape given in this table is required but a different dimension is to allow for the possible deviations, the shape shall be drawn out and given the shape code 99 and the free dimension shall be indicated in parentheses.
